BEAUSOLEIL

Based in Lafayette, Louisiana and founded in 1975, Beausoleil fuses the regional music styles of Cajun and Zydeco with elements of blues, jazz, rock and roll, and calypso to create their own unique brand of folk music.

Beausoleil have appeared on numerous soundtracks and television shows, while also performing at countless jazz and folk festivals throughout the United States. They are one of only a handful of traditional Louisiana folk groups to win a Grammy Award, and first achieved this prestigious award for their album, L'Amour ou la Folie.
